Prof. Mohamed Elashmawy
Prof. Mohamed Elashmawy is currently the Head of the Orthopedic Surgery Unit at Dar Al-Shifa Hospital in Cairo. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2006 with honors and distinction, and worked as an orthopedic resident at major hospitals in Cairo. He also obtained his Doctorate in Orthopedic Surgery from Ain Shams University.
He has extensive experience in orthopedic surgeries and the treatment of sports injuries. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and has participated in numerous specialized orthopedic and sports medicine conferences both in Egypt and abroad. Prof. Elashmawy is a highly skilled arthroscopic surgeon and is considered among the first physicians in Egypt and the Arab world to receive hands-on training in the latest orthopedic arthroscopy techniques, having successfully performed hundreds of arthroscopic procedures.
He is a member of the Egyptian Orthopaedic Association and the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery, and Arthroscopy.

Prof. Mohamed Elashmawy has extensive experience in orthopedic arthroscopy, which has seen significant advances in recent years. Knee arthroscopy is used to repair meniscal tears and reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament without traditional open surgery or its complications, and also allows for accurate diagnosis of all knee conditions.
Another important application of orthopedic arthroscopy is shoulder arthroscopy, which is used to diagnose and treat common shoulder conditions such as frozen shoulder and rotator cuff tears.
